Look on Evidence Me for what we were doing yesterday - can you draw some more pictures of people and say the names of the different parts of the body.

Forest Schools

What is Forest Schools?

Forest Schools helps children develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or outdoor area.

Some nursery children are currently taking part in Forest School Activities.

Forest Schools Week 1:

We have been on a Listening walk. We heard birds, cars, a drill and even a dog bark!

Forest Schools Week 2:

We explored our outdoor area and collected natural objects such as leaves, stones and sticks. The children were very clever and made fantastic sculptures out of the things they had found.

Forest Schools Week 3:

The children worked together to build a brilliant tent. Afterwards we sat inside the tent and read the story Owl Babies.

Forest Schools Week 4:

This week the children carefully looked around the outdoor area to find mini-beasts. We found a centipede, some worms, some slugs and a few woodlice. A few children were very brave and held the mini-beasts in their hands!
